ESOPHAGUS ESOPHAGITIS
Chronic heartburn can damage the esophagus leading to ulcers, scarring, or other complications.
ESOPHAGUS ESOPHAGUS
This is a small patch of the stomach left behind in the upper esophagus as a baby develops. Most of the time these cause no symptoms.
ESOPHAGUS ESOPHAGUS CANDIADIASIS
This is an example of a fungal infection of the esophagus. This can be treated by antibiotics. This usually occurs in patients with AIDS, diabetes, on steroids, or having been given antibiotics.
BARRETT'S ESOPHAGUS BARRETT'S ESOPHAGUS
A complication of chronic heartburn. This occurs in 1 out of 10 people with reflux for several years. This carries a small risk of cancer in the future. When people are found with this condition, they will be screened by repeat endoscopies in the future.

SCHATZKI'S RING SCHATZKI'S RING
This is a narrowing at the bottom of the esophagus. This will cause symptoms of choking or sticking and can be dilated or stretched by your Doctor.
