STOMACH POLYPS STOMACH POLYPS
Polyps can form in the stomach as well as the colon. The stomach polyps have a much lower risk for cancer. The most common type-Fundic gland polyps are not a cancer risk.
PANCREATIC REST PANCREATIC REST
The small bump in the stomach (antrum) represents a piece of the pancreas left behind as the baby develops. This can cause pain in some people.
HIATAL HERNIA HIATAL HERNIA
A Hiatal Hernia is when part of the stomach is above the diaphragm. The diaphragm normally separates the lungs from the bowels. When a hiatal hernia occurs this can weaken the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach, which allows acid to more easily enter the esophagus and give heartburn. Almost one half of adults will have a Hiatal Hernia.
