The appendix is at the end of the colon in the Cecum
 (See diagram of "Cecum" below).

AVM - ATERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION ATERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION
AVM is a collection of arteries and viens that can slowly bleed causing anemia. 
Cecum CECUM
This labels the parts of the colon at the end farthest from the rectum.
COLON - Normal COLON
A normal Colon.

ILEOCECAL VALVE ILEOCECAL VALVE
The distal small intestine empties waste into the colon through a valve called the Ileocecal Valve.
